SUMMARY
Manages all Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) relationships and working in coordination with the Contract Administrator on all GPO proposals, GPO current contracts, and GPO contracting processes along with related sales and marketing activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Coordinates with sales leadership to effectively grow GPO contract sales.
• Manages GPO contract implementation processes.
• Assists Contract Administrator in review and negotiations of GPO contract terms and conditions.
• Assists in responding to requests for customized pricing arrangements through authorized distributors for end-user customers.
• Responsible for responding to conversion opportunities with large, regional U.S. hospital systems and regional group purchasing organizations.
• Participates in industry and regulatory meetings that involve healthcare market access issues that impact healthcare innovation and competition, as well as patient and healthcare worker safety.
• Assists with sales and marketing efforts to GPO members.
• Responsible for all sales and marketing efforts along with tradeshows with GPO members.
• Responsible for responding to conversion opportunities and requests for information and proposals with large, regional U.S. hospital systems and regional group purchasing organizations.
• Conducts meetings with GPO’s and members.
• Participates in industry conferences and trade shows.
• Assists with federal and state pricing and related agreements when GPOs are involved.
• Assists the CEO, CFO, VP of Sales, and General Counsel as needed.
• Ability to get along with others, follow directions, and work well under stressful conditions.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Responsible for following company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, Quality System Regulations, safety/housekeeping, and Quality Management System.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in management or related field, and minimum of three years’ experience in healthcare medical device national accounts. Masters degree or MBA, preferred.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, stoop and bend, reach, climb stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Use of vision is required for document/report inspection/analysis and visual observation of a computer monitor. Employee must be able and willing to travel.
