Urgent Action Needed to Protect Nurses and Healthcare Workers

To Senator/Congressman/Congresswoman,

Nurses and healthcare workers need your help. People working in hospitals are getting injured at a higher rate than people working in construction or manufacturing. Hospitals are understaffed, nurses are subject to workplace violence, and technologies that protect nurses are ignored to save two cents.

OSHA can fix this, but they are not enforcing existing safety regulations to prevent hospital injuries. OSHA has the money to address hospital safety, but they are waiting for people to die before they act. This is unacceptable; to wait until more nurses suffer is not only putting their lives at stake, but their patients as well.
